So there is a band from Canada called The Dead South. They have a GREAT song that isnt very politically correct. Apparently the #meetoo movement is pressuring them to apologize for it. Its not awful. No swear words. But the subject is a bit taboo. Lyrics like "tore up the restraining order, I dont care Im coming over.... What your daddy said isnt going over too well. Dont you know not to kiss and tell?"
And the doozy "I guess shes my cousin, but she needs some sweet lovin anyway."
Even though there is no mention of ages or details, people are triggered about it and saying it glorifies pedophilia, incest, sexual assault, etc.
So apparently we are only supposed to write stories and songs that are politically correct and safe.
There are SO many stories in history that deal with sensitive subjects, so who knows who is next in cancel culture?
And I bet these complainers probably consider themselves quite the intellectuals.
