While working in studios in SoCal that sign was used as a sort of inside joke in the backstages and greenrooms to try and catch your victim looking at the sign that you flash him or her. Very silly game but I have seen it for years in different places throughout the entertainment industry. Live theatre sometimes you'll see an actor flashing it casually on stage during a performance to see if anyone would pick up on it. It's also been used in the theme parks like Knott's Berry Farm, Magic Mountain, Universal Studios Park and even Disneyland. I personally know a Snow White, Peter Pan and Mickey Mouse that use it regularly. (BTW, all three of them are girls and yes I went out with two of them but not at the same time.... dammit)

I'm sure some these people don't even know what it really is, they just wanted to be one of the cool kids doing it. Like a school clique. As we know, in that industry they will do anything to fit in and get ahead.

Could this game get started in other groups? Sure but who cares? I mean.... Really? And racist? Pfftt.



Kinda the same as the "grips" started the game of seeing how many clothespins they can clip on a person without them noticing. And now even actors have continued that game..... unfortunately.

He's a member of a fraternity called Kappa Alpha Psi. That organization has a hand sign that resembles the "ok" hand gesture. The gesture is used to indicate membership in that group.

Pretty sure there are more Spanish speakers than German speakers, since wikipedia shows Spanish as the 4th most spoken language, with German clocking in at 12th. Pretty sure 12th is a FAR more minority than 4th. SMH.
