Big hands?Oh hell no! I’m out!
I think I start the annual prostate exam next year. I’m not looking forward to it, but I’ve had one before in an unfortunate prostate infection. I’m going to have to find a new doctor!
Nope, not this one. The one who did the last one, holy crap! Had the biggest hands I’ve ever seen on a white guy!Big hands?
It’s a habit. Find lower calorie alternatives. When you do eat, eat less…and then the next time eat even less.Been dang consistent on workouts (weights, not cardio), but I can’t get my stress eating under control.
Tried praying, drinking water, thinking about “is this worth it” but in the end, I eat bad stuff.
Any former stress eaters out there that are just that, “former stress eaters”, and if so, please share your secrets of success.
I go every 3 years. They always find pre-cancerous growths. Better to be safe than sorry.I had my first last year, Dr gave me a pretty clean bill of health and said I'm good for the next 10 yrs. And honestly it wasn't as bad as people say, not saying it was pleasant or enjoyable. But not terrible. Just make sure you have good toilet paper and/or wet wipes and that your phone/tablet is charged. In all honesty the worst part was the (unnecessary)anticipation/worry before the prep and not being able to have my morning coffee before I went in.
You are spot on!It’s a habit. Find lower calorie alternatives. When you do eat, eat less…and then the next time eat even less.
Yep…. A week or so ago, we were planning a trip to Red Lobster. I like their shrimp scampi, like a lot. Plan ahead. Eat a lighter breakfast and lunch, avoid the delicious biscuits, order green beans instead of a baked potato, and enjoy the scampi. You are spot on!
I can’t believe how much less I eat. And I eat a lot of low calorie alternatives now. I don’t really miss the foods I gave up.
Cauliflower rice, palm noodles, etc are great substitutes and minimal calories!
And if I do eat something I adjust the rest of my day. I actually planned a trip to White Castle the other day. Bought 3. Ate 3. In the old days (3 months ago) I’d have ordered 12, eaten 6, then snacked on the rest later.
*hangs head in shame* I would have ordered 10, eaten ten, and possibly some chicken rings. I haven’t eaten fast food for 2 years, probably closer to 3 at this point.Bought 3. Ate 3. In the old days (3 months ago) I’d have ordered 12, eaten 6, then snacked on the rest later.
….order green beans ….
I was eating my veggies yesterday and was thinking how much I love green beans. True story. Snapping and eating beans with/ for my Mom were great memories.Nope. Never. Green beans are my line in the sand. I’ll risk nuclear war before I’ll eat the green beans.
I couldn’t find any motivation in that crap music. People really need hard rock to lift too, it just makes it easier!Last thing, this gym music sucks. It's Kesha, Beyonce, Justin Timberlake, Katy Perry, etc. The reason I know this is becasue there's a screeen that's shows the three songs scheduled to play. I'd rather listen to hogs screw.
My mind is willing but my body hurts. I was afflicted with rheumatoid arthritis at age 24. Almost 40 years of my life I've been dealing with it but it rarely holds me back. Got up and took some Tramadol before 5am, my doctor gives me up to 60/month, usually I take about no more than 10/month. Today may be a day when I take 3 or 4.Weights and cardio done for the day. I can't believe how alterting exercises can get you sore all over again; It's hard to lift my coffee mug right now. . .
Sorry to hear about all your pain today. I hope it improves soon for ya!Oh and pain killers have a ‘stoppage’ effect on the bowels too.
I did manage a 30 min walk.
Shoulders, neck and arms are in a lot of pain. 2 tramadol so far this morning. I may be switching to hydrocodone for the next pill.

Sorry to hear that. I am fighting the next level of pain pills. If they would let me take my Mobic (Meloxicam), I would be OK for now. It's an NSAID, and I can't take NSAIDs because my stupid cardiologist is making me take baby aspirin because he doesn't want me to have a heart attack. I don't know why I can't take both. I was going to discuss with my rheumatologist, but he canceled my appt last week and I can't get in now until January.Oh and pain killers have a ‘stoppage’ effect on the bowels too.
