I got all 17. My paternal grandma had a party line. You were only supposed to answer if it was "your" ring. Each party would have their own ring pattern.

That was an accident I moved into an apartment right after the school administration building across the street closed.

When they installed my line they neglected to turn off the line across the street.

I didn't find out until I was talking to a customer and someone else started talking.

Neither of us had an extension. It turned to be the two sond of the family that bought the building. The family had been getting free phone for months and eaves dropping on my calls.

I got 14 out of 17. I also remember the old metal roller skates that you strapped to your tennis shoes. Could also add cap guns that took the paper roll of caps. Also remember grabbing my dads hammer and making short work of the whole roll on the driveway.
