I've asked for their pen to check the change they've given me. True story.
I’m 55 years old and started printing when I was a freshman in high school, and now work for an engraving shop (not firearm or jewelry, but real fancy printing!) and US currency is engraved (one of the other employees told me that at one time the bureau of printing and engraving used to have us repair the printing plates for the us government!)

And a few years ago the shop I was working for (traditional offset printing shop) asked me to make the bank deposit, at the bank the teller set one of the 5’s aside, and walked away with it, she came back a few minutes later and said “the manager said it isn’t counterfeit”

    I replied “lady two things”

1-I’ve been printing for 15 years, if I wanted to counterfeit money, you or the bank manager wouldn’t be able to tell!

2-if I was going to counterfeit, it damn sure wouldn’t be a 5 dollar bill!.

For some reason when I made deposits after that, she looked really close at the money!

No, no, we just love going in to print every day... after day... after day... just the sheer joy it brings is unmentionable.
Like that "time to make the donuts" guy...
