We all want clean air and we spend billions upon billions to (supposedly) get it, but one lightning strike in Canada and all that means nothing.
The irony is that the particulate in the air which makes for the poor air quality are probably blocking a fair amount of sunlight, limiting "global warming".Why doesn't Canada pay the US to help fight those fires, they don't seem to be making much headway on their own
All the money thrown at 'net zero' and how many years 'progress' is obviated by these and California wildfires? Maybe spend some more money on fire mitigation to fight 'climate change', eh?
Or maybe do proper forest management with periodic prescribed burns. But no, politicians and eco-freaks who don't understand the ACTUAL science won't let it happen. Fuel builds up to a point where, once a fire starts, it's nearly impossible to put out.Why doesn't Canada pay the US to help fight those fires, they don't seem to be making much headway on their own

I always thought MDA stood for the Muscular Distrophy Association?
Hey! It could have worked!!
Join the club. This happens every year in Texas, except that the fires are set on purpose. We all want clean air and we spend billions upon billions to (supposedly) get it, but one lightning strike in Canada and all that means nothing.
