And when they ask what you are working in 3 months.
Well, I work 5 days on, and 2 days off.
Except days to 3-11, which is only a day off
And 3-11s to mids is more like just a day and a half.
So, my days off shift back a day after every 3rd week.
Then there's the mandatory once a month down turn that you have to work, even if it's your day off

I also love when the day shift gets mad that they have to "FINISH YOUR JOB!"
    Yes, that must really stink.
We had 1 Systems Repairman, 1 Millwright, and 2 Motor Inspectors (Electricians). No maintenance boss, no area manager.
Day shift comes in with 2 Systems, 5 Millwrights, and 6 Motor Inspectors. There are multiple bosses at every level, all offering to get them whatever part or help they need, even call people from different areas or from home.

Hey, we had a FIRE that did most of a million dollars damage, AND YOU AREN'T DONE FIXING IT YET?
The fire we had to put out.

This seems to be a universal flaw in most manufacturing. My personal theory is management wants to make sure nothing goes wrong while their bosses are around

They also think nothing goes on when they're not there.
I've had someone mention that, whenever HE has to work night shift, EVERYTHING BREAKS.
He doesn't have it easy, like the regular shift workers.
