    I ran across this picture from a project I did a couple of years ago....I still find it amusing. Sure. Those are definitely the 2 tools I would use to trim a stair tread to length. Certainly not a sliding miter saw, a radial arm saw, a table saw with sled or a circular saw.

    It would at least look clean cut if you used a scribe and a chisel.
