When a nephew in IA was being born, we were at a brand new hospital. The waiting area had pool tables, cigars, etc. SIL was not to pleased with the cigar smell. Didn't bother me though.

Doc came in when wife was ready for the delivery. Doc said I looked terrible and got me a styrofoam cup of coffee. I still hear that story…

When my wife went in. My MiL, SiL, son, and I went out for Chinese. We knew it was going to be a while.

Yeah...see, I ate some Little Debbie Nutty Bars right before my wife delivered our son. The intensity of the moment resulted in derisive statements about the peanut butter on my breath...which continued after the delivery. 25 years later, I still hear about it.
