The FBI approached me today and told me that a deaf courier for the mafia was giving them a hard time. The FBI had been trying to get this deaf courier to tell them where he had hidden money from the mafia. The deaf courier wouldn't say anything. They asked me to talk to him and interpret.
Me (signing): "The FBI wants to know where the money is that you stole and hid."
Deaf courier (signing): "I didn't steal any money. I have nothing to say."
FBI (to me, verbally): "What did he say, Dave?"
Me (verbally): "He told me he has no money and has nothing to say."
At this point, the FBI agent is getting frustrated, takes out is gun and points it to the forehead of the deaf courier. He then looks at me and says, "You tell this deaf guy that I will pull the trigger if he doesn't tell me where the damn money is."
Me (signing): "The FBI man says he will shoot you if you don't tell him where the money is."
Deaf courier (signing, panicky): "Okay, okay! The money is in my back yard, five steps east of my big pecan tree, six feet deep!"
Then the FBI guy looks at me and says, "What did he say?"
I said, "Shoot him."
