    Big, heavy, clumsy. I can identify with all that.

    Here it is next to a NHR Big Boy in 45 Colt. Winchester just simply scaled up the 1873 to take bigger cartridges. It was an early favorite of TR until the 1895. When Uberti made their copy they tightened up the rifling, that and modern steel made these formidable guns.
