The DW Commander I recently traded into has remained hidden from prying eyes.
It is one of the only 1911's I have done little to nothing to. Couple of things cosmetic and a guide rod. I will polish it up internally when I get the time.

Stopped the harder stuff in 02. Crown Royal was bonifide 11 years old back then. I do not believe that holds true today.

My time at the Uber expensive Naples gun store involved a good deal of counter time with numerous Dan Wessons...decided to drop the 10 mm 1911 for now and work towards a Valor.

I sold my mouse tuned 1911...to the mouse. Circle of life. Need to get another one someday. I have had mixed success with 9mm 1911s in the past, but the Valor has been great.
