I’m going to pretend I didn’t see this. Way cool 88. My wife and I still play with the 50D we got from MM from time to time. Someday when the youngest is a little older perhaps we will get to explore it more. She has really taken a liking to photography work and has taken our last two family photo sessions with that camera.Morning folks! ️
I was able to restore another parts camera to service last night. This one had a dead display but worked in all other respects. I found the ribbon cable clamp loose and when properly tightened, it worked.
Thanks again MM. Those manuals you gave me have been very helpful. Your notes, though, were what really helped me out.
Don't mean to get all philosophical at 7 am but the "progression" of photography is really illustrative of the changes in society. Film to digital.Morning folks! ️

Talked about this recently… As I was deleting thousands of unnecessary photos from my phone. I thought…. You know, most of this stuff I didn’t get to truly enjoy because I was so focused on capturing it with a camera. I’m being a lot more selective.Don't mean to get all philosophical at 7 am but the "progression" of photography is really illustrative of the changes in society. Film to digital.
Something to be said for capturing an image and awaiting the results.
Sigh...

I purposely don't take tons of pictures especially these days (and still end up with a lot but mostly of stuff I'm taking apart, etc) for that very reason. I typically just want to try and focus on being wherever I am. Take some that will show up in my one drive memories in following years just to pull my memory back to a given day/event and that's good enough for me.Talked about this recently… As I was deleting thousands of unnecessary photos from my phone. Must have caught the bug going around.
Digital is nice. But it bugs me… We've decided we are going to go through our pictures every year, print the ones we want and put them in an album. Have one for each year we’ve been together.I purposely don't take tons of pictures especially these days (and still end up with a lot but mostly of stuff I'm taking apart, etc) for that very reason. That said, it is nice to look back at those digital memories especially now that my kids are grown. My wife and I from the time we got married have gone through film cameras (we took a bunch of the disposable cameras with us in our honeymoon) , to digital camera to phone, and it is nice to have the content.
The camera that is with you all the time (phone) like most things is just a tool that one needs to use/control vs it controlling them.

This bug has been dug in like a tick since Sunday for me. Havnt started shooting it out of both ends yet today so hopefully it has run its course.
