Some of us drive an hour and 10 minutes home from work. Then we have outside chores to get done before we can sit and get on the computer. That being said good evening everyone.

I'm still trying to decide if I want to sell it. Been thinking about putting the CCO on the chopping block as well. I bought it to carry and I just don't need to. I carry the Shield if I have to conceal completely or more often, the Legion.

I thought I would regret letting go of my V-Bob a while back, but as much as I liked and appreciated it, I never really bonded with it, if that makes sense. And, as someone upthread mentioned, letting it go to a good home funded a few other things that I have enjoyed, and used, so much more. I still think DW makes some of the best 1911 pistols in the business, but I truly enjoy my SR1911 9mm commander more than I ever did the DW. Good luck with your decision on the CCO!

That's it exactly. I like the gun, I just don't love the gun. For the money I could get out of it I could fund a lot of projects.

Here is 2 of my recent buys that I did this weekend. On the left is a Russian built VEPR FM-AK47-11 and on the right is a CZ Scorpion Carbine with a faux Suppressor. It also has a Primary Arms Red Dot. Also picked up 2 INGO Lowers...

Hey, I was just over on Buds and see that they have the Colt 01992 full size 1911 in 9mm for $646. Is it just me, or is that a really good price on a Colt? I know that there's not much Colt love here, but that's a good price for any 1911 that has a forged frame and slide I think. That could be the basis for a fun range gun once you exorcise the MIM and plastic out of it. I don't recall seeing Colts for under $650 before.

Ironically, when I went to look for it at Bud's, just to check it out, I searched for "Colt 01992" and look what came up:

Someone is trying to tell me something... :):

I'll let you know how it goes with the Colt. There's one on the way now. :) I had been thinking of adding a 9mm 1911 to the family and adding a Colt for a bit over RIA money seems like a decent deal. It also helps to restore the balance of the Force in that my 1911 vs. non-1911 ratio has been out of whack for a while. I do think I'm heading into a deep 1911 phase now. Normally, this time of the year I am thinking of stuff with big trigger guards for gloves, but the whole P07 saga has me really liking the idea of getting back into the 1911 obsession. The new 9mm 1911 will become the plinking tool for range fun. If I carry a 9mm pistol, it will always be a CZ 75, but I do like the idea of having a cheap plinking 1911. I guess I should have picked up a GSG 1911 and had a really cheap plinker.

I'm going to have to add an AR stripped lower to the collection next year. I'd like to build either a tribute rifle to the A2 or something that is similar but with a 20 inch barrel. How do the Aero lowers stack up in terms of quality?
