Anime huh? I'm really old school. Spacekateers, Starblazers, Robotech. And of course the classics: Akira, Ghost/Shell, Vamp D, Ninja Scroll. Love Afro Sam, and Princess Mono. Every once I'm a while Hentai, lol.

Another video by Ahoy, this time showcasing the FN FAL... how it came to be... and it's history in relation to NATO and the Cold War (with a bit of a gaming lean)

This definitely has some NSFW content, but I highly recommend it for South Park fans, and people generally interested in censorship issues.

Big fan of Kaptain Kristian and his videos. This one takes a look at how South Park pioneered the normalization of certain things that were censored for decades... and how important the show really has been for modern culture.

Netflix has a teaser trailer for an adaptation of the anime and light novel, Death Note.

Interesting. They're doing a western adaptation, dropping the Japanese setting. Some odd changes will need to be made... but optimistic that it'll at least be entertaining.

Biggest pro so far? Willem DeFoe is playing Ryuk.

There seems to be an all-out-war against YouTube creators going on right now. Tons of channels have been demonetized, which is a huge deal for people that rely on this income to live on.

It seems the old media is backing a full attack and smear campaign against YouTube creators like TheFirearmsBlog, Dave Packman Show, Slingshot Channel, and many others. Also odd that this happens just as Youtube launches "YouTube TV"

This is probably going to be a major turning point for content creators. Patreon may become the new, much lower form of income as Google/YouTube seemingly overreact to the advertiser backlash.

YouTube also hasn't shared any reason or information with these multi-million subscriber channels as to why their videos aren't making money anymore.

If you're interested in hearing more about it from a group of affected content creators, here's a 2hr stream discussing the topic: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZPVAsq6W5sE

I don't keep up with these sorts of things but I heard a guy on the radio talking about Facebook Live streaming compared to YouTube. His point was the live streaming could be spread faster, to more viewers than the way YouTube makes you seek out the content and then watch it. Is something like that having an effect?

Gigguk video on Anime entering the mainstream. Pretty solid video highlighting the large steps made in the past few years.
