Easiest way to get the slide off is fire a round and grab the slide when it's fully back. Twist it just a little, close your left eye, put your tongue in your right nostril, hop on one foot, and do a somersault. You're golden.

I always throw those away. Seriously though, one of the great things about a Glock is the simplicity of design and that design works very well.

It's not difficult at all to field strip one and it's also relatively easy to detail strip as well. There are plenty of youhoo tube videos out there to demonstrate how it's done.
