Hi guys,

Im finally swapping my quad rail out that came on my ddm4v5. Its pretty heavy and id really like to switch to mlok or keymod like my other handguards. I have a bcm and am pretty fond of the bcm kmr hand guard. Im not very "hip" in the AR accessories world. What are all the kids running these days with mlok in a lightweight package? Probably going with a 15" rail. Thanks in advance.

Also to note, before I typed this us i i was somewhat interested in the aero precision atlas one. Anyone have experience with these?

my favorite commercially available metal handguard is from seekins. If you want a replacement that is as tough as your factory ddm, but lighter and sleeker check out dlsports, not keymod or mlok but comes with removable rail sections. It's tough as hell, difficult to install but once it's locked up on your upper it won't go anywhere without effort.

When a wanted a slimmer handguard on my AR pistol, I went with the AP Atlas.

It's been a while, but I don't remember any difficulties installing it and it is a solid setup.

I like the feel of it and not having the full length rail that I never use anyway.

Very cool. I like the look of that on your pistol.

Seekins makes great products. I always use their precision rings. Will check them out as well.
