    This below is one of the reasons I have taken to video record me opening the box.

    I record the shipping label, the box to show any damage, if it looks to have been tampered with and to also show if it has been retaped.
    Then after opening I make sure that I show the condition it is in when I take it out.

    Started doing this a few years ago after buying a eBay item where he shipped the incorrect item. I had ebayer try to send me a lens for a Nikon camera instead of a Canon. :n00b:

    I shipped a Suunto GPS watch I traded for a couple of magazines on another site and when it arrived at its destination the box had been cut and the contents removed and retaped. To this day I wonder if Fed Ex did it or the recipient staged the theft. I sent it unisured as I've never had anything stolen before. I received a check for $100 from Fed Ex and had to send the guy I traded with a check.
