    With the wrench on it (side that engages all the teeth) take a hammer and give the wrench a couple sturdy blows.

    The sudden jar/shock usually does it


    Heat may be an option too

    If using a breaker bar, be sure to hold (or have somebody hold) the armorers tool securely to the barrel nut. If it slips, you could break some of those teeth or smash a digit.

    Yes this. You do have to careful when using the breaker bar. I usually keep one hand on the barrel right next to the wrench providing sideways pressure.
