Having a party on our river property tonight and again next Saturday so a fire is out tonight. We are supposed to get rain this week so maybe next weekend. Bad thing is tonight is for friends and next week is for family. The one for friends should be more fun with a fire. Jim.

Read the local ban regulations. A lot exclude campfires in a ring.
These regulations can also be unenforceable. Not all but some. That being said, use good judgment if you are having a campfire.

    This!
It's amazing how many people will light up trash or brush that's been accumulating all summer, in the fall.
We just had some methheads light a fire in the neighborhood but it didn't go anywhere, thankfully.

While the county is live in isn't under the ban, I have 2 firepits. Gas or wood. When it's extremely dry or only need to use it for a couple hours, I use the gas one

A neighbor about a half mile away had a fire yesterday. Sounds like a burn pile that spread to a shed and then maybe a barn/garage and a bit of their home. Home looks to be in good shape, so hopeful for them it's not too bad.

Within about 30 minutes of the last fire truck leaving, we had about a quite a bit of rain.
