https://www.handgunlaw.us/ would be where I would start for info like thatSo I will be traveling to D.C in the spring. From the what I can gather looks like I'm good with my Indiana CCW all the way into Virginia as long as I keep my firearm away from Maryland. Is that correct?
I wouldn't take it into DC, and I would watch Virginia very closely to see if they change their reciprocity now that they have a democratic majority. DC doesn't recognize anybody else's license to carry or permit. So I will be traveling to D.C in the spring. Read first post. Skip to end. That'll do it.
Welcome to INGO.
I just don't see why you have a sticky with 12 year old data on it. Update the OP or re-sticky a new one every time there's an update.
I was reading up on Illinois some the other day in regards to an Indiana CCW. It said that we can conceal the firearm in our personal vehicle while travelling through without having to
secure and separate ammo. But could not leave vehicle with it. Anyone seen this before?
Nice helpful list. Thank youAs of April 5th 2008....

Good point and thank you. They recognize our LTCH, but their laws still apply.I didn't see this listed but FYI Ohio has a stipulation that with Indiana (and others that issue to under 21) the license holder has to be at least 21 years of age or they can be charged.
S.C. has a bill in legislation for constitutional carry. The word out there is if this bill passes, IN would have reciprocity.I drove into NC the other day and had them confused with SC in my mind. Big pucker factor going on.....
That would check all the South East boxes.S.C. has a bill in legislation for constitutional carry. The word out there is if this bill passes, IN would have reciprocity.
Washington does recognize the Utah permit, so there is that option.Good point and thank you. They recognize our LTCH, but their laws still apply.
This is better than Washington State— they refuse to recognize the LTCH at all because we allow those under 21 to obtain it.
Again, thank you for pointing out this important point.
Blessings,
Bill
