Someone actually admits to liking Mayor Daley and I thought that he bought all of his votes with hard earned tax payer cash
There's an app for that. Go on the App Store and look up ccw-concealed carry 50 state guide. Use ccw as your search word and it'll be the first one to come up. The guy that created this site actually has an account with ingo so maybe he'll post the app on this thread if I email him.
This is an update to a previous post. Kansas now recognizes ALL other states' permission slips. (As of July 1, 2013)
One of our members, NIFT, messaged me with a few points of interest, things I had not made note of, such as that while Maine (among others) does not recognize non-resident permits from other states, they do issue their own, and that MD and NJ do likewise, though theirs are very difficult to obtain.
OK, so our LTCH covers us to carry according to the laws of the state we happen to be in in 30 states. How can we carry in the other 20 (if at all?)

Do remember that to carry a firearm in these other jurisdictions, their local laws apply. Some forbid carry in places that, to us, seem counterintuitive and even idiotic. Their laws do not have to make sense to us, any more than our own do, we still must follow them or risk fines, imprisonment, and loss of the future ability to lawfully possess firearms.
My thanks to Bob for his bringing this information out.
Blessings,
Bill
ETA: I've updated the map Gary Slider gave us as well, to reflect this change. Remember, this is effective July 1, 2013!
Thanks again, Gary!
Blessings,
Bill
Thanks for the recommendation

A new version will be coming out next week to include the latest Kansas changes, as well as the upcoming Illinois changes, which are expected to be passed on Tuesday (7/9/13), which will turn IL into a shall-issue state (although it will be a Shall-issue state w/ no reciprocity).

So how do you drive through these states that don't honor Indiana permits?
Notwithstanding any other provision of any law or any rule or regulation of a State or any political subdivision thereof, any person who is not otherwise prohibited by this chapter from transporting, shipping, or receiving a firearm shall be entitled to transport a firearm for any lawful purpose from any place where he may lawfully possess and carry such firearm to any other place where he may lawfully possess and carry such firearm if, during such transportation the firearm is unloaded, and neither the firearm nor any ammunition being transported is readily accessible or is directly accessible from the passenger compartment of such transporting vehicle: Provided, That in the case of a vehicle without a compartment separate from the driver’s compartment the firearm or ammunition shall be contained in a locked container other than the glove compartment or console.
I really appreciate this post! I was unaware that Michigan (and SOME other states) acknowledged our IN, LTCH
Thanks for the note! I did notice the map and listing of states that do acknowledge it. I am just surprised of the many states that do and I was unaware of that.
very informative, I did not know there were other states honoring our permits.
