20 years ago I probably would have made a point to inform the local fire chief of the amount and location of my ammunition storage so the firefighters would be aware in the event that they were called to that location. Unfortunately, with the nanny-state government we now "enjoy", I'm not about to do it. Now I don't feel too bad about that decision...
I've had several different things blow up in the same room as me, mostly pressured cans, might scare the crap out of you, but there are many other things to worry about in a residence fire over ammunition. Now you your mini barn out back... that's some dangerous stuff!
