Southwest still appears to be a mess. Somehow, the other airlines have largely gone back to normal, but not Southwest. 3,000 cancellations today.

No, he was talking about aircraft and crew coordination, not ticketing issues. It was a pilot that was saying it.

The weather through the U.S. has been terrible the last few weeks. Wife and I went to see the daughter in North Dakota.This pic is how the back roads looked 1.5 hours north of Fargo . Probably the most treacherous drive I've ever had the displeasure to drive.

Every year, after the holidays, there are ground delay programs to airports in Florida & the islands due to traffic.

In this case, there was a ground stop issued due to volume. Jacksonville Air Route Traffic Control Center handles all the traffic in/out of FL and there's only so much airspace; if a sector goes down due to weather, or lack of a controller, or an equipment (radio transmitter, radar, etc) failure or whatever then they have to meter the flow.
