I usually go down to Harrison Crawford State Forest to hike the Adventure Hiking Trail. It is a nice 20+ loop. Been a little disheartened over the amount of logging going on their the past several years. Is there another place in the state I can go for a back country experience this spring? Looking fore a good reference here which comes from personal experience. Thanks in advance.

I like the Knob stone personally. It runs from Deam Lake to Salem. I run the section of trail from Deams to New Chapel. Always a great hike, good elevation changes. I have all the gps data if your interested.
