These are just plinking rounds. The goal is to limit the velocities to around 1,000 fps or less to minimize barrel leading. For a given load, the 20" rifle barrel gives me much higher velocities than a 6" revolver so the charge is reduced. I learned this the hard way by leading a rifle barrel with loads that were developed for the revolver. The revolver barrel stays fairly clean with them. The rifle, not so much.Should those be reversed??
Seems like it should be stronger load for long gun=Smaller load for S&W??
