So I finally got to see the movie "The Big Lebowski"...

...and I didn't really get it.

I mean I understand the plot, but I don't get the point of the movie.

Sure it had it's funny moments, but I wasn't blown away and I don't get why so many people have parts of this movie in their avatars and signatures.

I thought the fat guy from vietnam was pretty funny, it's too bad that actor is dead (he is dead right? I can't remember for sure).

Jeff bridges is pretty cool.

and I like bowling too, although I hardly ever get to go bowling...

But the rest of the movie just doesn't 'click' for me...

Maybe I need the point explained to me (which I'm sure will lessen it's effect...)

You're not alone. The best I can figure is that it's an amazing movie when you're smoking weed, which I've never done.

I just recently watched it, as well, and I was underwhelmed. The bowling scenes were funny, though. I think they could have done much more with some of those characters.

I watched his biography and a lot of his friends and family think that movie is what made him more depressed, which in turn lead him further down the dark path...Apparently he was very self conscious(could have fooled me) and was not happy with how that movie made him look(again, ).

It's very unfortunate, because I thought that movie was awesome.

Man, I miss that guy.
