A local Indiana podcast, The Murder Sheet podcast recently interviewed former FBI director James Comey. At 41:15 he’s asked about the security training the agency provides to the families of employees going overseas and that his own family received. What’s interesting is that the first thing he says is that life should be lived in condition yellow and then he goes on to explain, almost verbatim, the system invented by Col. Cooper and taught in the Gunsite 250 course today. He goes on to discuss situational awareness, sitting in restaurants and knowing where the exits are, trusting your instincts if something doesn’t seem right and never get into a car under threat of force (die in the parking lot not in the car). Happily I’ve heard all of his advice before; most of it at Gunsite but in other training courses I’ve taken also.
