I usually camp as far from electricity as I can, life is good with a 1000 watt Honda gen. Recently I had to park at a site with electric and water. They had outlets with both 50 amp parallel 4 prong 220 and I think 30 amp? 3 prong angled RV outlets. They were on the same circuit so it was users choice. I know I can go buy any variety of adapters but I have access to all the parts to build my own. I will put a good power strip with overload breaker and GFI protection downstream. Since I am going to have to build I want to cover myself. Has every campground moved to the 4 prong 50 amp? Do I need to make another splitter for the 3 prong? Any other outlets in wide use at campgrounds?

30TT is the style you’re talking about with angled prongs. It’s the most common one you’ll see. The 50 amp is maybe 20-30% of the sites. You can easily find a 50-30a adapter on Amazon or Walmart or camping world.

The 20 amp outlets on site should be GFCI already if you don’t think you’ll be needing more than that.

Some have both, some have one or the other depending on the age of their setup.

30a-15a adapters (dogbones) are pretty cheap, may be able to buy one of those cheaper than building one.

We have a variety of dogbones for different connections.

20 amps is way more than I would ever need. They didn't supply 120v outlets.

You must have a pretty small AC unit or not use it at all if 20A is way more than you need. I can trip the breaker on my Predator 3500 (29A of starting current, 24A static) generator pretty easy.

I found an RV camp spot last year that ONLY had a 50A outlet, no 30A, no working 15/20A & conveniently sold 50A-30A adapters in the gift store. Capitalism!

I have a small popup up trailer. 12v fridge, charge phone, etc. Mentioned in 1st post that my 1000 watt Honda is more than enough. Before we get too far off track I run the fridge off a 12v dedicated battery pack so just need to keep that charged. I literally have all the parts I need, I don't need to buy a thing and would like to use these parts up.
I find it bizarre that they didn't supply 120v outlets but whatever.
