To my memory, uncles in military and wounded in Korea and the Nam, many friends wounded in the Nam....VA has always been short on everything. Always.

And yet it's garbage reporting to suggest vets won't vote for a presidential candidate who has an itchy trigger finger for more wars.

In this case it is garbage reporting because what they are suggesting goes against the trend of veteran votes and they offer no substantial proof to support the claim.

The trend of veterans may be changing. How many more veterans will vote for the democrat, third party or stay home compared to past elections?

It is the "Staying home" part that scares me. Vote for somebody, every time you can. Stand and be counted no matter what. The numbers have to rise or no one will ever pay attention.

I am a vet and will not be voting for the socialist candidate.

You'll find the ballot to be quite sparse if that's the case.

The only difference between Demotractic Socialism and Republican Socialism is where they tax the money, and who they give it to.

Different sides of the same coin.

People are just used to Republican Socialism, so they don't think of it as such.

This is just my opinion but it is my opinion

Republican Socialism wants to keep America a great Country.

What we have wants to see America fold up and die.

What leads you to believe this, and are you admitting that "socialism" has a place in American Society?

No, I don't think socialism has a place in America.
    But it is here.
Big time socialism started with FDR.
I believe both parties are leading us into it deeper and deeper.
    That is what I believe.
The Reps are going at it slower than the Dems. But what we have now is neither & he is out to destroy the Country.
    That is how I feel.

Socialism certainly has it's it place in American society, at the very least to check rampant Capitalism.

One could argue that Republican socialism is costing us a lot more.

As the Kut always say's, back that up please. No jam just like to get your take on the statement.........;)

The "pure" Capitalist will seek to make others socialists through the manipulation of govt and and money. The thought of Laissez Faire Capitalism which seeks to exclude government from interfering with business, works one way; it restrains government. However, there no such prohibition from the opposite end of the spectrum.

If you think back to the 20th Century, and name some of the most well known Capitalists, then you names like Rocafeller, Ford, and Carnegie. You won't find anyone that will tell you that they weren't (in regards to their own empires) Capitalists; and yet these 3 individuals were instrumental in creating the Federal Reserve. I need not tell you, I assume, the FED's role in the bailouts, but essentially, because of them, "we" are paying for mistakes that we hand no hand in making during the original decision making process.

In effect, a pure Capitalist will seek to infiltrate govt to create a system that is most beneficial to them. The most beneficial being able to get the govt (ie the people) to cover their all their losses when they make bad business decisions, and contributing only a fraction back, when they make good ones.

So when people talk about the virtues of Capitalism, there is certainly a caveat. They want to remain capitalists, but they want you to be a good lil socialist, pay into the pot, and cover their expenses. It's a great business model, and it's amazing that it actually came to pass.

So govt could put a stop to it by ending bailouts or subsidies (see Solyndra) in any form. Let the free market operate with a minimum of govt interference.

Uh, the "Federal Reserve is as 'Federal' as FedEx."

But I think your missing the point. Private business seeks out govt to help them turn a profit, and why would they not do so? The business lobby is a powerful group.
