    788's are great guns! you don't See them on the shelfs at gun shopes much because people would buy them rather than the 700's and that is why Rem stopped building them!! because there sales of the 700's were down until they discontinued the 788's I own one in 308 :D

    +1 on that but I have one in 22250

    they are ugly, and they don't fit any of the reasons that rifle's shoot well

    got one in .222 and one in .223 and love em. Put a replacement trigger in the .223 and made it more lovable.
