My opinion is because the guy was a troll. A good troll in that his comments flew just a bit under the radar and were worded in such a way that somebody might consider him to be attempting contribution. But these comments always seemed to pop up and ruffle a feather, smelling of troll.

But I have to agree that his making a comment in this particular thread was out of line. Simply not an appropriate place to comment on another persons appearance.

Well, now that he/it is gone, my ignore list is smaller. Thanks to all who quoted him/it in various threads for reminding me why I put him/it on my ignore list shortly after He/it showed up here on INGO. Not a loss. Glad He/it is gone.

That may be, but it's still a mean thing to say. He had no idea she was a model, and even so he still shouldn't say things like that.

Thanks, Cmr and Chez. Why is it any more appropriate to make comments about a thin girl's size than a heavy girl's? I don't think anyone in here would look at my picture and post "Whoa, keep the chocolate away from her; she needs to go on a diet." (They might think it, but that's their prerogative.) As Chez said, this thread was meant as a safe-haven from comparison to the women in the "beautiful means Barbie proportions" thread.
