She's my SPR 'MK12 Clone' It's been a LOOONG build process and I don't have her on paper yet. Maybe this weekend!?
Just picked up a Remington 700 in .308 with a 26" barrel. Need some optic and mounting ideas.
Sweet build! Working on something similar myself. How did you paint her?
Just curious whats considered a sniper or precison rifle?
My humble offering, Rem 700 308 in AICS 1.5 - Will upgrade optic when budget allows.
A sniper rifle is a rifle used by a sniper...either LEO or 0317/8541 or 11B.
A precision rifle is "sniper-looking", can be semi-auto or bolt gun, and is generally denoted by the following:
Mid to high-power optic with ranging reticle
Heavier contour barrel
Moderate weight (10-16lb)
MOA or better accuracy out to and even beyond effective range of cartridge
They often also have detachable magazines, adjustable cheekpieces, composite stocks, etc.
