    Somehow this thread has started down a dark and twisted path. Perhaps I should have worded the title differently something like - What substance do you use to influence the smooth uninterrupted function of your weapons.

    Another vote for the Tetra for your firearms..... A very thin film is all that is needed. Won't run off like oil. I still use Hoppe's oil on items I need to
    "drop" oil into and can't grease.
