Sorry, Doc. The practice of seeming log-rolling, where I make sure I go to a hospital in my network and get a doctor in my network but then he calls in aScrew you too, Ted.
The no surprises medical billing act kicked us in the teeth. Now I'm required by laws to sign the contract with any insurance company my hospital contracts with. I am in ER doctor. I cannot move my practice. Insurance company negotiates with the hospital, and then they know we are required by law to sign whatever piece of crap they send us.
Medicare is cutting our reimbursement by 4%, 7% inflation, and Medicaid has not increased payments in 30 years. Over that time. They have probably tripled our documentation requirements and reduced private reimbursement significantly compared to inflation.
You're right, it is all a scam to defraud you.Sorry, Doc. The practice of seeming log-rolling, where I make sure I go to a hospital in my network and get a doctor in my network but then he calls in abuddy'colleague' who is out of network to 'consult' for thousands of dollars in surprise charges is what got you into this mess. Police your own house first
Oh the stories I could tell you about calling surgeons and their responses to me. Or the hospitalists, or so many others.
