A very good friend of mine is a high-school sciences teacher and he can tell you there are plenty of bat-**** crazy leftist teachers right here in fly-over country. Only a fraction of those actually preach leftist propaganda in classes - mostly due to policies holding them back. But they are still able to put a subtle slant on things to influence future voters - baby-steps toward destroying America.

There are also a lot of good teachers here that refrain from influencing kids politically. But the overall net result is a leftist influence.

I'm not a fan of memes that promote ignorance as a means to combat liberalism.

This is precisely what the meme-maker and I are saying. I'm not saying all teachers and the meme didn't either. Want a bunch of examples? I'll be happy to document it if you are ignorant of the situation.

Several points here...

1. As "Mack" pointed out and printcraft quoted, those students were shot by government employees
2. No one should show up to try to campaign for an office where the first requirement is to swear to preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution, when his campaign points are methods to shred it, yet here you are, Beto.
3. Those people were likely there to give you an opportunity to put your money where your mouth is. You're going to take them away? Bring it. Hope you have good health insurance, because when you try to take their lawfully owned and peaceably possessed property, they are likely to take offense, and you might get hurt. I'd "beto" on it, actually.
4. Oh, and this is a Constitutional Republic, not a "democracy". Don't believe me? Look up the words of Mr. Benjamin Franklin, statesman.
5. Lastly, buying something "back" means you owned it in the first place. I wouldn't expect a person arrested for burglary to respect that, but I would expect that of someone trying to run for President.

Be quiet, Beto, the adults are talking. Or maybe steal something from another candidate with probably a better chance of winning.... Wear a boot on your head.

With respect, Jetta, I have to disagree. Educators ARE promoting socialism. That's not to say ALL educators are, but the liberal bias in education can't be something of which you're unaware. There are some very liberal teachers out there, who allow their lesson plans to include such things as

While not socialist, per se, such thoughts don't come from the Right. Generally.

Not casting aspersions here, just saying, "some does not mean all, but neither does it mean none."

Probably on the coasts the bat**** crazy to sane ratio is much worse than in flyover country. But even there, most teachers are sane.

You have to admit though, that the ratio of great teachers to not great teachers is not high. There’s a reason average is only average. I’m just glad the average isn’t bat**** crazy. Yet.

I have a niece who is an elementary school teacher. I heard her once, around the holidays, when she lived in NYC, talking about someone carrying a gun in the most ridicule-soaked tones.... Little did she know that there was a person doing so in the front seat of the car in which we were riding. I did not so enlighten her, as she likely would have promptly fouled herself at the mention of the same.
