Isn't Barack Obama, regardless of his one opinion of the man, considered fairly articulate?

Yes, he sounds articulate when he has a teleprompter.

But when he doesn't have a teleprompter, his speech pattern is "a few words"...uhhhh...."a few words"....uhhhhh...."a few words"....uhhhh... and so on.
That isn't what I consider articulate, and it's tedious to listen to.

A truly articulate person can speak without a teleprompter in a series of continuous sentences without a bunch of "uhhhhh"'s or "you know"'s, etc mixed in.

Excessive marijuana use in adolescence often leads to an inability to find the word you want to use in adulthood.
I'm not sure what other mental deficits it may produce.

You're the one who asked the question "Isn't Barack Obama, regardless of his one opinion of the man, considered fairly articulate? "
So the question concerned Obama, to which I said he isn't articulate without a teleprompter.

I'm sorry if you don't like my answer, but you asked the question.

He did that quite often towards the end of his attempted coup d'etat

I always think its funny that people actually think the Nazis were socialists.

Do you really expect baby boomers to have any concept of economics, much less differences in economic philosophy, even much less so 3rd position economic theory? They probably think China is still communist.

You know, there was a thing that came before a teleprompter, it was called paper.

And on that paper was an outline and bullet points of what you wanted to talk about, not your entire speech written out word for word, and you glanced at it to keep on track. And you likely rehearsed your speeches ahead of time so as to deliver a good speech. What you didn't do was stand up in front of a crowd with a dozen sheets of paper and just read them to the crowd.

Depends on the person. You may very well have the whole speech written down, but you will glance at it to keep yourself on track and improvise using the thoughts you have written down, and not just read it directly to the crowd.

So you believe that absent a teleprompter, his ability to pronounce words correctly is diminished, and simple words like "my" are reduced to mumblings such as "muh." Gotcha.

Sir, I believe the artist was channeling Obama's sons' language into his diminished-stature body. It's a well-respected technique (channeling) amongst the proper art circles, combining both the spiritual and artistic energy of the creator. Just gotta roll with it.

I said nothing of the kind.
I said "But when he doesn't have a teleprompter, his speech pattern is "a few words"...uhhhh...."a few words"....uhhhhh...."a few words"....uhhhh... and so on."

The few words he says between each "uhhhh....." when he's not using a teleprompter he pronounces correctly for the most part.
I do remember him pronouncing "corps" as "corpse" though. ;)

THAT reminds me, I have a friend several years ago who always said "um...uh" before each sentence.
He seems to have outgrown it though.
That kind of got on my nerves after awhile.
