They're trying to suck it out of the air to flood the market with lab created diamonds! Really, it is $4.4925 million in lasers and heavy presses along with $7.5k in trees!!

My only point is (hold on for the list):

- We're assuming the makers of the meme are intellectually honest...at all?
- We're assuming they are not comparing the presumed lifetime of the trees versus the lifetime of the plant?
- We're assuming they mean mature trees (pictured)...cause that's about 3 trees...maybe 1 for $7,500, depending. Could they mean bulk seedlings...which are about 10,000 trees for $7,500 (more likely)...and leaves out the labor cost of planting them....and the acreage needed?

It's more of a thought exercise about the holes in argument my meme than anything else.

For those non-arbors, how many trees does $7,500 buy you? How much acreage is consumed by those trees?

I doubt the carbon filter plant and trees have the same lifespan, so, how long does it take the plant to remove 900 tons of carbon? How long until $7,500 worth of newly planted trees consume 900 tons of carbon?

Does that $7,500 include labor?

I'm betting the "lifetime" of that "plant" is 20 years or less.

I'm betting it's a "meme".. so you can trust it as far as you can throw it.

That being said, the logging industry here in the US has planting trees down to a science. For 7,500 I bet they can plant a lot of trees.
