UserCP-> left side under PM settings. You want the middle one with the "Post quote settings" Check "NO"

Got it. Thanks. It turns out us lowly peons who simply post on this forum weren't wrong after all. We couldn't disable it with the previous options.

Here's how mine are set:

oooohhhh....just found out you can no longer insert a photo from your computer agian.

jd: I've got both of the PM quote notiification things set to "no".

They're worded oddly so it really is confusing.

Was it an intentional change to disallow the attaching of photos directly from my computer to a post with this set of changes?

You should have tried that 15 minutes ago before that option existed
