Found this male Imperial Moth on our perennial geranium plant. Interesting read...adults live a few days, don't eat and spend all their time mating before they die. Natural preservation at it's finest.

Put-in on Moose Lake Minnesota 1967. We fashioned two canoes into a catamaran to haul our gear to the island.


Showing off the fish, Horseshoe Island in Newfound Lake, Boundary Waters Canoe area, Minnesota 1967. There for two weeks every August while growing up. The best years of my life. Ain't I cute The lady was a close family friend and my first fishing buddy.


I don't imagine the boundary waters are quite the same now.
