    You have to dry fire it as per the takedown procedures. There is no evidence to show any modern striker fire pistol has any issues caused by dry firing. :patriot:

    and yes per manual u are told to dry fire.

    JW, understood that it's part of the takedown, BUT according to Springfield Customer Service, EXCESSIVE dry firing causes the roll pin to sheer lengthwise.

    IG, you can SAY whatever you want, but it happened to me and that's what Springfield said when I talked to them. Take my word for what it is--someone who owns one and had it happen. Or you can learn for yourself. Your choice. :D
