Rumor is, they are going away forever.I think having a lifetime permit is just smart
If you have a running 1948 F4, I think you get an automatic pass on everything up to, and including crew served weapons…. Just saying…Would a loaded Shockwave on the passenger side seat of a 1948 F4 be considered "in plain sight" and legal?
Just curious because the Shockwave hovers in that mysterious world of not this, but yet not that.
Duct taped to my forehead was my first choice.I think the OP needs to stop worrying about Indiana Law and truly consider the laws of his destination.
I wonder, how do you plan or how did you plan on transporting that firearm?
Rumor is, they are going away forever.
I wish I had one. My grandpa drove one about 40-50 miles (round trip), back and forth to work, for over 25 years. If you have a running 1948 F4, I think you get an automatic pass on everything up to, and including crew served weapons…. Just saying…

Again, thank you guys! I really learned a lot! Thank you for the welcome.
x2, a great class.I recommend an Indiana Gun Law class.
Specifically, I recommend Guy Relford's class. His company is Tactical Firearms Training in Indianapolis.
He has an "Essentials of Indiana Gun Law" class coming up in February.Tactical Firearms Training
We provide firearm training in Indianapolis. Courses are taught at Indy Arms Company, the area's premier indoor gun range. 2550 E. 55th Street, Indywww.tactical-firearms.com
Gun law class sounds boring.
But Relford does a good job of keeping the class engaged.
And he puts out good info.
He's been part of the process in some of the most recent gun law changes.
This is what I’d recommend. Also, some of the local county sheriffs and/or police departments put on beginner training from time to time. Those are less frequent and regular and will probably be a fair drive from Indy.I recommend an Indiana Gun Law class.
