I found out what's wrong with the safety detent on my new toy.
It seems to have the wrong spring in it.

Midway and Palmetto both have a small parts kit for fairly cheap. One for upper and one for lower or a combined kit.
I'll order one of those and go from there.
I'll check my local store first though. They might have one, too.

The mag release also seems to be extremely stiff, but I haven't taken that apart yet to see if the springs are even mix-uppable.
I'd rather have that function fairly stiff, anyway.

Heading over to the vet for the pup's follow up visit.
Hopefully they will update his shots this time, too.

Last time she felt his condition was a little touchy for a full barrage of vaccines.
