Also filled water buckets for the deer. Hubby is patching the crack in the fiberglass livestock tank finally. It's been empty all summer because it apparently got froze and cracked over the winter. I had dumped and had it on its side, but the deer or wind or something flipped it upright and it got water in it. I never imagined a couple inches of water would crack it

I put one out and they ate it up fast. Next one I put out 10ft away and they never touched it.

It feels a bit more remote with less traffic which I like. I do worry about ticks or chiggers more than at the pond.

never got chiggers but the ticks can be bad late spring, the grassy trail west of 127 can be real bad in the spring for ticks

I am sure there is one not far from here. But that brings different issues.

Truck isnt plated so Id have to have it delivered, and then move it from where ever they can deliver it to the back yard.

Sadly bags seem to be the better option for me at the moment.

Now i think will search google, i know a gravel pit is somewhere near by but cant remember where.

Looks like we are in the middle between 2 one near where I was thinking and the other just a couple miles down the road in fairland.

smear a little mud on that plate and leave the tailgate down, you will be fine be sure to get mason's sand
