My Chevy, 2017, has both, requires fob for convenience.Cars should have actual keys. Not fobs they can alectronically spooof.
Losing the fob, I can still get in and go with the key.
But without the fob, the alarm is still set until the key is in the ignition and touching the back gate or the door handles sets it off.
I try not to misplace the fobber thingy.
New one for this car is almost $300.
