You thought of eating, I thought firearm storage.Well done, DD.
Can't tell from camera perspective, but is it a good height to double as an easy way to serve TV table meals?

That could work too but they'd have to be short guns. It's only 41" wide. You thought of eating, I thought firearm storage.
Great for that too, I'll bet.You thought of eating, I thought firearm storage.
Only bad thing about gun storage (besides not really being secure) is that it opens up the wrong way for someone on the couch to get to them quickly.Great for that too, I'll bet.
Maybe for a couple of hiders, in case of some crazy home invasion scenario?
We have a similar item, but larger, walnut, drawers below, on the ends with the opening top.
Tried the eating idea, but too tall after it's open, no way to adjust height with the complicated spring hinges.
We have six blankets stored in the top of ours.
not if you mount it in a holster on the bottom of the lidOnly bad thing about gun storage (besides not really being secure) is that it opens up the wrong way for someone on the couch to get to them quickly.
True, but I was thinking long gun. I've always got my pistol on my hip.not if you mount it in a holster on the bottom of the lid
Perfect just measured a american ranch, 36 inches long has the 16 inch barrel. That could work too but they'd have to be short guns. It's only 41" wide.
When you cook bacon in the oven, do you cover it with something?BLTs consumed. That bacon is good! I was worried it might not get crispy since it was so thick, but it crisped up nicely.
I don't cover it. I just use parchment paper on the bottom of the baking sheet. I cook it at 375 for about 20 minutes, then rotate the pan and cook another 6-8 minutes or until cooked to the desired crispness level. Never noticed any problem with spatter. When you cook bacon in the oven, do you cover it with something.
The few times I've cooked bacon that way the grease spatter was a problem.
Tried one of those screens that's supposed to stop that, but it only helped a little.
I also tried parchment paper and that works great for the spatter, but it captures so much of the grease.
I like to keep bacon grease for other uses.
OK, so you're not trying to hoard bacon grease for the next gravy event like I am.I don't cover it. I just use parchment paper on the bottom of the baking sheet.
