Oregon Safeway shooting: Multiple people dead after gunman opens fire at grocery store

Short on details at this point.

The suspect opened fire in the parking lot with an AR-15 style rifle. Police said no one was injured in the parking lot.

The gunman then walked into the store and shot and killed a person in the front of the store.

The shooter continued walking through the store and shot and killed a second person.

The suspect was still shooting when responding officers arrived at the scene. Police then found the suspect dead. Officers did not fire any shots, Krantz said.

One additional person also may have suffered non-fatal injuries, the police chief said.

We the People allowed our servants to pass laws which effectively shutdown insane asylums, put the insane on the streets with us, then elected Prosecutors who decided that crime should not be punished.

This s*** really isn't that hard to figure out at the 50K ft level.

Care to make a bet that THIS POS was "known to law enforcement"? How about it had a record longer than my johnson?

Want to stop this s***? First prosecute the criminals and terminate those who commit premeditated murder. Second, house the homeless (Indigent farms need to make a comeback in a big way), and house the mentally ill who are violent (not imprison, house them humanely and treat them). If they are violent and commit a crime, they do the time, then get housed where they cannot harm others. Third, EVERYBODY carries. If you are a sane, moral, sober citizen you need to be encouraged to be armed at all times with few places off limits, as armed resistance is the best way to reduce and stop violent criminals. The stigma should not be that you are armed, but that you are not.

There are no easy outs. We tried the leftists, communists, and bleeding hearts way since the 70's. That approach is an obvious and abject failure. If you doubt that, look around the seedier portions of any large city. Those places are no longer simply the home of the poor. They are the home of the predatory insane and criminal, preying on their own community and spreading out like a stain.

Apologies to those which are sensitive, but my patience and tolerance is wearing thin. When is election day? Can't get here soon enough.
