I agree with that... My diesel gets oil dirty right after I turn the key.Different engines, uses, conditions etc make a lot of difference in how long and what type of oil to use.
20k in one year?? I bet it would work. (highway driving, I think our fleet, small trucks, was 14k or better. That was every 6 weeks or less.) Most oil changes should be done more frequent (3-5k) because very few actually check the oil level. But Mobil says you can go 20k miles!
Luckily oil color plays no real part in oil condition.I agree with that... My diesel gets oil dirty right after I turn the key.
Yep pretty much. I can tell if an oil is chaulky black it is more than time to change. You can understand your own car, but when someone you don't know shows up, you can get an indication what is bad by looks and feel. (and vehicle of course)Luckily oil color plays no real part in oil condition.
What ended up happening?? Curious minds...I suggested she talk to her girlfriends about how they were going to pay for her new engine. When she asked me what I meant I simply told her that I wasn't paying for or doing the requisite engine rebuild.
Did you refill the blinker fluid too?Got my oil changed at 630 this AM in the 22 Kona. Mobile1 full synthetic and oem filter. Was surprised i didn't see any metal in the filter at 30697 miles. Cleaned engine air filer and cabin filter also along with topping the wiper fluid off. Just started to sprinkle when i got done.
Grease the muffler bearings while you are at it!!Did you refill the blinker fluid too?
