Yay!!!!!!!!!!!! The ordeal is OVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ripped up my tags and put 'em in the trash :)

Used to burn what few were left over back in the day, in my fireplace. Open a good bottle of bourbon too.

    New house has no fireplace.

Eh, the old fiber reinforced tag paper was cool. This new cheap computer printout crap aint worthy of the ritual ;)

Didn't get to hunt some spots, hunted some new. One old one produced small bucks and only a couple of decent sized does. Partner and I let 'em walk.

    We're cool with that.

We could have killed deer, filled every tag..........but we just didn't see the stuff we wanted (on the rare occasion one was spotted, timing or other made it a no go).

Oh well, double up this yr :)

Last push in little thicket today, saw 6 different rabbits. That was a treat. Dunno if we're going back to get a couple.

    Long G2's and G3's but he wasnt very wide. After I took him I saw a nice wide 8 point,around a 20" spread.Hope he made it .

Cant make it tomarrow but will be out Friday. Already the best year I've ever had for finding horns. 2 skull mounts and 1 side off an 8 point.

I hunt yotes in Feb and see antlered bucks at the midpoint, usually with both sides still on.
Now is too early for where I go.
Heard distressed deer drop 'em early though.

darn near hit a buck we call "knuckles" on base this morning. 2.5yo who's already shed his antlers.

We might do a little shed huntin this weekend.

One of my co-workers saw a tall 10 tending a doe this morning
