I hate to burst your bubble but I doubt this show will be "crazy". I went to two shows this weekend that usually blow the 1500 out of the water. Both were as slow as I've ever seen them. I don't expect the 1500 to be any different.

Maybe the OP is trying to start a "panic" because he has stuff to sell?
We all know from a sellers point of view, the market has been super slow.
So why not get people thinking a panic may happen to sell your items?

May or may not be true. I don't think the up coming show will be crazy, the gun sales do seem to pick up Oct. through March, then they drop off in the spring and summer. I have never figured this out, I tend to shoot my guns all year long.

I don't see this 1500 being one of those crazy panic buying shows. The shows are slow right now. People don't have the disposable income they once had, and there seems to be a lot of "scared" money out there because of possible lay-offs, and the current economy....beside people are still paying off their credit cards from buying $700 and $800 AR rifles and other black guns for $1500 and up during the last panic buying session. :)

Other whacked out guys are trying to help out though. The Oregon guy was black. The news reporter shooting was done by a black. Seems like Va Tech and maybe another one was Asian/Oriental.

Biracial.... his white side snapped. That's my belief, and I won't be convinced otherwise!
Now, if he did I drive by, I'd blame his black side.

It is unfortunate that it is merely whacked out white guys doing these things for the most part.

It all runs together......The pick I saw of the Oregon perp looked white to me...???

Does it count that in the black community, they are "mass shooting" each other - generally over drugs - but the news media aren't covering it that way?

For those that have been to shows recently, are prices down any due to the soft market?

Seems like prices on AKs have come down a couple hundred bucks; they were back to about 2011 prices at the last show. Seems like some of the ARs I glanced at were down a couple hundred dollars as well. Of course, I'm not very well versed on AR pricing.

There are two things I look forward to every 1500...
    Meeting other INGO'ers
and getting Beef Jerky (preferably ghost chili pepper spiced)

Every once in a while I find a deal elsewhere...

Not a fan of the Jerky but I do enjoy meeting Ingo people.
When they will not tell you their user name the hunt is on.....:):

what are the chances of someone finding a Glock 17 new(ish) around $450 or under at the show?

I would say the odds are pretty slim. You might find some police trade ins, but I doubt you're going to find a dealer selling at that price. $500 maybe, but I wouldn't go there expecting to see anything better than that.

Best odds would be ZX guns IMO

ETA: Not to say you will get it at the price you WANT. Just that they have damn good prices at the 1500
